Emergency imposed in US city of New Orleans after cyber attacks
New Orleans is the latest city to be the victim of cyber-attacks. After the cyber-attacks, the city has shut down many computers in the wake of the emergency. It was not yet clear whether the hackers had installed Ransomware on any computer.
City Mayor Latvia Cantrell said they did not report details of a paid employee or employee's login being hacked.
At present, authorities in the city are running a number of services with paper and pans. However, the city's emergency services are still active on the computer. These services can still take footage from city cameras.
It is not yet clear how long the computers will be online and when the emergency call will be announced.
