Global wearable market up 65% in third quarter: Shomi dominates global market

Earlier this week, IDC said Apple dominated the wearable market in the last quarter. Apple has made huge profits from AirPods in the category of Hearable. The report said that in the third quarter of the global market, Shumi supplied 12.2 million units of wearable devices, up 74.4% over last year.
Shumi's share of the global market was 27% in the last quarter. The main reason for Shumi's sales is the better performance in China and the spread of the global market. Apple's share of the wearable market was up 15% in the last quarter. 60% of Apple's shipment consisted of the new Apple Watch Series 5.

Huawei sold 5.9 million units in the global market and occupied 13% market share.

Huawei's sales increased 243 percent over the past year. Fitbit's market share was 8 percent. Fitbit did not progress much better than last year. Samsung was ranked fifth with a market share of 6%. Samsung's Galaxy Fit Tracker was sold well in Asia.
Demand for Apple Watch Series 5 in the US increased 3.5x compared to the Series 4 in the launch quarter. In addition, the cheaper Series 3 smart watch also increased Apple's sales.
The Chinese market also increased 60% in the quarter, with Shumi benefiting more. Huawei also sold 290% higher sales in China than last year.
