China launches world's first quantum communications satellite. It is the world's first hack-proof satellite to serve as a link between China and Europe. The name of this satellite is Quantum Experiments at Space Scale or QUESS. This satellite has been nicknamed Micius or Mozi, who was a Chinese philosopher of the 5th century BC.

Experts hope the project will successfully build a quantum communications line in two years.

If China sends more quantum communications satellites into space, then by 2030 quantum communications will become a global network.
