China Academy of Information and Communication Technology has reported the decline in sales of smartphones. The main reason for this is the closure of many factories in China.

Chinese authorities have issued instructions to ordinary people to stay in homes where citizens are traveling in several areas.

Research companies such as IDC and Canalus expect the supply of smart phones to decline by 40% in the first quarter of 2020 as both logistics and demand for smart phones are currently low due to the outbreak of Corona virus. The first two weeks of the Chinese market have been quite damaging. Apple has closed many of its physical stores and offices in China. Those stores and offices that were open were also not functioning at full capacity.
